La Cocina School Vegan Tamale Cooking Class, March 17, 2018

For the first time ever, La Cocina School at El Centro de la Raza will be offering a Vegan Tamales Cooking Class in partnership with the Food Empowerment Project! Now is your chance to learn how to make vegan tamales from a master tamalera! The tamales are prepared in the handmade and traditional fashion using cultural ingredients. You'll also enjoy a brief presentation of the history of tamales.
Class will begin promptly at 10:00 AM in the kitchen at El Centro de la Raza. Classes typically take 2.5 to 3 hours long. All cooking supplies and ingredients will be provided, but please bring your own apron. On occasion, La Cocina classes are held in the Centilia Cultural Center's kitchen to accommodate larger groups. The Centilia Cultural Center is located within Plaza Roberto Maestas at 1660 South Roberto Maestas Festival Street, Seattle, WA 98144, next to the Light Rail station.

The money for the La Cocina School at El Centro de la Raza Latin Cooking Classes go to fund El Centro de la Raza's Senior programs. As such, we are unable to process any refunds. In the event that you are unable to attend, we are happy to place you into a different class or you are welcome to transfer your ticket to someone else. Mil gracias for your support.
